The Myrtle Open

Myrtle Open History

The Myrtle Open was formed back in 2002 with 8 golfers including the founders Tom and Mike. The Group then expanded to 12 golfers in 2005 and had a record 17 golfers in 2011 for the trips 10 Year Anniversary. You can see the main golfers in the player profile page. Tom "The Wolf" Vigilante was the first golfer inducted to the Myrtle Open Hall of Fame in 2011. In 2018 the format was changed from stroke play to a Ryder Cup format which was a huge success. Each year we gather for tons of golf, fun, drinks, laughs and miscellaneous as if a day hasn't passed since the last trip. You can't ask for a better group of guys that we have on this trip. The Myrtle Open has a bond and a group of brothers that only those who have been on the trip can understand.
